This is the first block I’ve made in about 3 weeks. I’ve been running back and forth to the hospital since January 26th and working on Mom’s quilt. I finished the quilt Wednesday and she was released from the hospital this afternoon.
She still a bit wobbly and we’ve got to work out the new meds, so I’ll spend a few days at her home (about an hour from me) until home health starts coming out and my brother figures the meds out. I’ve brought a red work snowman and my bag of yo-yo supplies. Now that I think about it, I probably should have brought the box of shirts my brother asked me to lengthen. Oh, well.
Hope your mom is feeling good being home. You don’t get much rest in the Hospital. I like your fabric choice for the SBS block. Those aren’t fabrics I have in my 30’s stash.
After I made this block, I started wondering if I got some 40’s mixed in with my 30’s fabrics. I really wanted the softer pastels, so there may be a shop run in my future.
