Some pieces are turned under, some are fused in place. All pieces are stitched with invisible thread. The wicks are satin stitch — that was simply too small of a piece for me to work with — about 3/8″ x 1/4″ finished. I think batiks and Steam-a-Seam 2 are gong to become my best friends as I work on the remaining blocks.
Whew, you’re almost there. Hand quilting is NOT on my list of things to do. My Sister wants a king sized DWR hand quilted, I tell her dream on…Her B-day is in May too. Maybe a four ring wall hanging/Table cover?
