Yes, there’s a bit of a project explosion going on.  On the wall proper are the 4-Patch Stacked Posies blocks.  I decided on red framing and blue sashing with red cornerstones.  This weekend I got the sashing cut and started framing the blocks.

On the guest table are the blocks for a toddler quilt that my young quilting friend is working on. If I hadn’t distracted her with dinner preparations, she might have finished the framing.

Hanging over the chair are shirt fronts.  I’ve got a basket of shirt parts and I’ve finally decided on what I’m going to do with some of them.  From each shirt front I’m cutting at least 2  – 2″ strips, 2 – 2 1/2″ strips and a 1 1/2″ strip.  From there I’m cutting Spool parts, strips for Rectangle Wrangler and Nifty Thrifty — all Bonnie Hunter patterns.  The extra pile of 1 1/2″ squares is for the on-going postage stamp quilt.

For now, I’m just going to cut and kit on the shirt projects.   There’s an all day sew-in in April and a 3 day retreat in June that I’ll need something to work on.

2 Thoughts on “What’s On My Design Wall

  1. Looking good on your wall and chair and cutting mat today. I’m excited for the retreats I get to attend this year. I know I’ll be working on Bonnie’s Midnight Flight and Lazy Sunday Mystery at least. My favorite is the Show and Tell and Block exchanges we will do.

  2. Great projects. Your f Patch Posie is looking wonderful.
