Quilting and Stuff by Knitnoid

What’s On My Design Wall

Today it’s more like ‘What’s Hanging From My Design Shelves”.  I’ve got one more of the Flying Dutchmen blocks ready to do, but it’s not the next one in line.  So, two more blocks to be sashed and attached then I can sew the center of the quilt together.

A little over a week ago I pulled out the slip of paper which said “Make 18 Square in  Square blocks”  – which was the next step on this quilt.  I’ve done a bit more than that, and currently its my plan to finish the top before I pull another slip.  I’ve not abandoned the bag, but it has done it’s job.  I was able to kick-start my quilting this month.

4 Thoughts on “What’s On My Design Wall

  1. I like the sashing on this quilt…really sets off the blocks so well!

  2. Very Nice, is this one for YOU? I forget. The square in a square blocks are a very good sashing. I get to make a couple commission quilt in the next couple weeks. So my Leader/ender should progress too.

  3. What a great quilt this is going to be. I never thought of doing rows of like blocks, great idea!

  4. I love this idea of rows of blocks for a sampler, thanks for sharing!! Looks great
