What’s Cooking – Cinnamon

WC0227

I had every intention of making Cinnamon Swirl Bread from a recipe I got on a quilting board a few years ago.  Then my husband found a recipe for Cinnamon Roll Pancakes.  I think he found it on Facebook, but I found the website:  www.texanrecipes.com. I can’t do a direct link to the recipe — look on the left at http://www.texanrecipes.com/, click on Breakfast then scroll down until you find Cinnamon Roll Pancakes.

The pancakes were WONDERFUL.  However, I can tell that my blood sugar has skyrocketed.  I used 1/2 of the recipe and got a dozen good size pancakes .  If I make them again I’ll only make 1/4 of the recipe.

See what others did with their cinnamon by following the links over at Patchwork Times.

  1. Oh yummy – these look so good. I would love to try them, but that sugar would probably make me sick. I could try them without the frosting. Yep, I think I will.

  2. Those look good. I”m seeing the need to watch sugar also. You’ve probably seen the idea about cinnamon helping to even out sugar levels. There is a good article on the Bulk Herb Store site. I started drinking their tea and it seems to be helping me manage sugar. I think I’ve even lost a couple of pounds. http://www.bulkherbstore.com/Dr-Cinnamon?s=cinnamon%20tea .

    Thanks for sharing your recipe.
