Quilting and Stuff by Knitnoid

What’s On My Design Wall

dw1007

There are any number of things I should be working on.  The borders to Truddi’s quilt or fixing the quilting in Josh’s quilt.  But instead I pulled out the Aiming-for-Accuracy-Quilt-Along to try to get caught up. I still lack a few pieces in the bottom half of the quilt, but I’ll deal with those another day.

Today I’m going to quilt the Deadline Project. Deciding how I’m going to quilt a top is frequently the hardest part of the quilting project.  Except when it’s the execution of the quilting, deciding on colors, picking the fabric, precision piecing or the binding.  In other words, each quilt has its own challenges. In this particular instance it’s the quilting design.  I first made this quilt 6 1/2 years ago and it’s still not quilted because I haven’t figured out exactly how I’m going to quilt it. At least heading into the shop later this morning I have a rough idea.

One Thought on “What’s On My Design Wall

  1. I agree! Deciding is the hard part of the quilting. That’s why I have so many on my TBQ list. Have fun with it!
