Having bound the first Disappearing 9-Patch, I’m now working on the backing for the pink and floral Aiming for Accuracy quilt top. I pulled all the pink, purple and floral blocks from my Orphan Quilt Box as a start. I’ve got a whole pile of pink and white bounce HST from an earlier quit and those are going to get made into pinwheels and added to the mix. Finally I’m going to use this pink and purple butterfly fabric to fill in the gaps.
Blocks will be rearranged before I’m done.
See what others are working on over at Patchwork Times.
you inspire me to do something will all my orphan blocks. could probably make several quilts from them. I think the ones you have pulled will make a very interesting quilt as well as beautiful.
All your orphan blocks look good together already, so this should be a great quilt back when you’re done.
Wow! I love all the colors and can’t wait to see how you arrange all of them.
Great idea for the backing, it’s looking cool!
What a great way to use up your orphan blocks.
