I really wanted to show the completed Texas Braid today, but I just didn’t get it done. I’m about a 1/4 of the way through the quilting and hope to finish it this week. I’m on call Friday evening and most of the day Saturday, so if I end up running around doing errands all week I’ll at least have the weekend — unless I get called.
Check out the links over at Patchwork Times to see what others are working on.
Very nice! I like your green polka dot backing! 🙂
Thanks Denise!
It was the only piece of fabric enough for a quick backing in my stash (well, I could have gone with a Christmas print). The cool think is it will look good with the red binding I’ve got planned.
Thanks for stopping by.

That looks like a great collection of scraps!
This is a quilt I’ve always wanted to do. I can’t wait to see it finished!!
It’s looking good. You’ll get it done — even if it is eventually. Hope we see the finished quilt next week though.
Looks like a perfect quilt for scraps, how neat!
I still have yet to try a braid but I really want to. I used to be on call a lot and one of the reasons I was happy to retire is to get that part out of my life. I just felt tied down when I wasn’t called and put upon when I was. Not the right attitude but I got it together when I had to go in. 😉
Is this made from a “jelly roll” material? I love the simplicity of using jelly rolls!
