Tonight I finished pinning the fabric for the 4-Patched Stacked Posies quilt. I cut 2 of the 8 strips and started sewing. These are the first six before pressing and there is a 7th under my needle.
If my math is correct I should have 56 4-patches when I finish. My plan is to set the block 6 x 8 with a 1/2″ red frame and 1″ blue sashing and red cornerstones. If there is any red fabric left I’ll use it for a narrow border and the use the main fabric for a wider border. The quilt should finish approximately 54 x 68. The extra 4-patches will go into a cuff on a pillow case.
Pam, those 4 patches look great!
It is coming along beautifully.
YEA! you finally made the cuts and got some pretty blocks made.
