Leader/Ender Project – Spools

spools284

According to my notes, I started the Spools leader/enders August 20, 2012 — so I really have another month. However, Bonnie has posted the link up, so I’m posting my progress as it is today.

As of today I have 284 spool blocks.  The missing block is complete, but it is still under my sewing machine needle.  Just yesterday I cut enough to bring the number up to 300.  To make the quilt I think I’m making I still need another 34 spools.

But of course I could change my mind before I get that far.

See what other have done by following the links over at Quiltville.

  1. You have been busy! Did you make all your spools as leaders and enders? That’s a lot of 4.5″ spools you’ve set for yourself. It must have emptied your 1 1/2″ scrap container. Like the setting you have in mind. Sandi

I love the arrangement you are considering. Awesome!

  3. Looking great Pam, I didn’t make any of the Spools. I’m still hooked on the Bow Ties. I might start on the Split 9 patch blocks soon. Good luck getting all your spools made.

  4. Way to go! So much fun!
